Underwhelming Stay in a Classic Room

The hotel location was indeed convenient for exploring key attractions.

The room I received was disappointingly small for the price. The cleanliness could have been better. The bedspread seemed old and dusty. The bathroom water temperature was erratic, alternating between very cold and scalding hot without warning (a minor inconvenience, but still).

The location was pretty good. It was central. staff were also friendly. That was acceptable.

the room was really small, and i found that very annoying. it was like i was practically living in the hallway because the bathroom was not even attached. i had to walk through the public area in my pajamas, i was pretty frustrated.

Historical Charm and Great Service

detailed information friendly staff convenient location

I appreciated the detailed pre-arrival information. It included a video showing the route to the building. The staff was responsive. My room had high ceilings and a nice terrace. I enjoyed my time there. The location was fantastic. It was easy to reach the main station and other sites.

The staircase was a bit steep. This could be difficult with heavy luggage.

decent stay overall

helpful staff nice style convenient location steep stairs no elevator ineffective air conditioning

the staff was quite helpful before and upon my arrival. the building has a nice style that i liked. the location proved convenient for accessing various points of interest.

my room was on the third floor and there was no elevator. the stairs to reach the upper floors were quite steep. the air conditioning in my room did not cool effectively despite running.
